Reviews
"Wildcats" is wonderfully entertaining and it gives Goldie Hawn ample opportunities to shine brightly once more. It is an incredibly feel good movie overall and it successfully strikes an even balance between some bawdy humour (she elects to play one scene in the nude) and more spicy language (she utters the expletives "F * * k you!" and "Motherf * * ker!" when describing her ex-husband Frank) than we are usually subjected to in a Goldie Hawn film. However, all this doesn't ebb or spoil any of the enjoyment or laughs to be had and the only time you might find yourself feeling somewhat cut adrift is during the climatic football sequences where you really do need to be an aficionado of the game once you are being constantly assailed by the jargon, but thank goodness you can at least take some comfort in the fact the scoreboard is a lot easier to decipher.
