Reviews
We are now truly into "wartime spirit" cinema with this tale about a British spy tasked with delivering some vital documents to Washington DC. Of course, he goes missing and Holmes and Watson are duly dispatched to track down the scheming Nazis who want the document for themselves. This isn't a bad effort, but these films have now lost any connection, nuanced or otherwise, with the creations of Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle and Holmes and Watson may as well be "Starsky and Hutch". Henry Daniell and George Zucco help out on this one, and it is still an easy little murder mystery to pass some time on as Rathbone and Bruce still hold their partnership together well.
