Reviews
Beautifully human story about a single dad (mom went back to Russia) who finds out he doesn't have long to live. He's very close to his son, without other friends or family. We get to see life through his eyes and through his son's eyes. The emotions are complex for him as he's tied between extremely love in his last weeks and being strict and logical - for his son's sake. It's a heart-twisting movie, but subtlety occurring from scene to scene. I didn't expect to like it, but I did. It's a sad realistic state of affairs that exist in society where you learn to appreciate the smallest of niceness coming from those who know you only a little. The young boy played his role perfectly in all respects. EXCELLENT MOVIE It's s stark summary of life for those who are alone with minimal help from family and friends. There's a lot of painful reality in this movie, but the dad just keeps pushing forward to the next step.
